In the Sorrento Peninsula, lemons are grown using the traditional pergolato sorrentino method—a wooden trellis made from chestnut and covered with cane mats called pagliarelle, designed to protect the trees from frost and the scorching summer sun.
The typical lemon from Sorrento is the “Femminiello” variety. It is known for its abundant juice and peel, which are rich in essential oils. This makes it perfect for producing a fresh, revitalizing liqueur: limoncello.
At Sapori e Colori, we’ve made it even more intense thanks to a recipe passed down through generations.
More than a digestif, Limoncello is a tradition, a social ritual. Imagine the delight of your guests as you offer them a chilled glass at the end of a meal, a taste of Sorrento and a moment of shared enjoyment.
Today, you can bring something unique to the table: not the usual glass bottle, but a more refined option—a sleek yellow terracotta bottle, as bright as the sun and the lemons of our land. Bring home the taste of Sorrento and raise a glass to life with your dearest friends!
